Responsibility

How to use IndoGateway website content, pricing and preliminary tools responsibly.

Last updated: 31 August 2026Questions: info@indogateway.id

At a glance

Use the website as a starting point, not a final regulatory conclusion.

Indonesia market-entry requirements depend on the real facts of each project. Our website helps organise those facts and identify likely workstreams, but it cannot replace a project-specific review.

01

General information

Website content explains common concepts and workstreams; it is not a legal, tax, accounting, immigration, engineering or other professional opinion.

02

Project facts matter

Ownership, KBLI, product, location, capacity, documents, staffing and timing can materially change the route.

03

Authorities decide

Licences, registrations, visas, bank accounts and approvals remain subject to the relevant authority or third party.

04

Written scope controls

A professional relationship begins only when a written scope and commercial terms are accepted.

01

Purpose of this page

This page explains the responsibilities that apply when visitors use indogateway.id, the Indonesia Licence Checker, pricing information, articles, service descriptions and other preliminary materials. It should be read together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

02

General information, not professional advice

Content on this website is provided for general educational and commercial information. It does not constitute legal, tax, accounting, immigration, customs, engineering, environmental, employment, investment or other regulated professional advice. A statement that a workstream is “Core”, “Conditional”, “Likely relevant” or “Specialist Review” is an initial planning classification, not a formal opinion or authority decision.

Do not make an irreversible investment, ownership, site, product, employment or shipment decision solely on the basis of website content.

03

Project-specific review is required

The correct route depends on the business the client will actually operate. Relevant facts can include the intended revenue activities, KBLI classifications, foreign ownership, shareholder documents, applicant or importer structure, product category, manufacturing process, location, building status, environmental impact, workforce, equipment, transaction profile and target launch date.

Requirements that appear similar in name may apply differently to different companies. IndoGateway therefore confirms the facts, assumptions, dependencies and unresolved questions before defining a final scope.

04

Licence Checker responsibility

The Indonesia Licence Checker is a preliminary planning tool. It evaluates answers supplied by the user against a maintained rule set and groups the output into workstreams. It does not access government records, validate documents, determine eligibility, issue approvals or guarantee that every possible requirement has been identified.

Users are responsible for answering accurately and for requesting a specialist review before relying on the output. Saved checker answers are stored in the user’s browser until the user clears them.

05

Accuracy and completeness of information

Clients and website users are responsible for providing complete, accurate and current information. Material changes should be disclosed promptly, including changes to ownership, directors, products, manufacturers, activities, sites, capacity, staffing, commercial model or timing.

IndoGateway is not responsible for consequences caused by inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, misleading or withheld information, or by documents that are invalid, altered, unauthorised or inconsistent with the actual business.

06

Regulatory change and authority practice

Laws, implementing regulations, classifications, online systems, documentary requirements, fees, processing practices and authority interpretations can change. Published content may therefore become outdated between review cycles. We aim to maintain useful information, but visitors should confirm the current position before taking action.

Where an authority, bank, notary, certification body, laboratory, professional adviser or other third party requests additional information or applies a different interpretation, the project scope, timing or cost may need to change.

07

No guarantee of approval, timing or commercial result

IndoGateway can prepare, coordinate and track agreed workstreams, but cannot control the decision of a government authority, bank, certification body, auditor, notary, laboratory, landlord, industrial estate, professional body or other third party. Approval, processing time, appointment availability and third-party acceptance cannot be guaranteed.

We also do not guarantee that a particular licence, registration or company structure will produce a specific commercial, tax, funding, distribution or market result.

08

Pricing, inclusions and third-party costs

Website prices are indicative professional-service fees unless stated otherwise. Final pricing depends on the confirmed scope, document readiness, number of entities, people, products, models, sites or applications, and the complexity of the project.

Government charges, taxes, levies, testing, travel, translation, apostille, notarisation, courier, engineering, environmental studies and other third-party costs are included only when the written quotation expressly says so. Comparisons should always be made on a like-for-like scope.

09

External professionals and specialist work

Some workstreams require a licensed notary, lawyer, tax professional, accountant, auditor, engineer, environmental consultant, laboratory, certification body or other qualified specialist. IndoGateway may coordinate or introduce such parties where appropriate. Unless the written engagement states otherwise, an external professional remains responsible for their own regulated work and may apply separate engagement terms.

10

When an engagement begins

Submitting a website form, sending an email, using the Licence Checker, receiving preliminary information or discussing a project does not by itself create a professional-client, fiduciary, agency or exclusive relationship. An engagement begins only after the relevant parties accept a written scope, fees, assumptions, responsibilities and any required engagement documents.

If there is a conflict between website content and a signed engagement, the signed engagement controls for that project.

11

Reporting an error or requesting clarification

We welcome corrections and questions. If you believe a page is outdated, incomplete or potentially misleading, email info@indogateway.id with the page URL and the point requiring review. We may update, withdraw or clarify content without notice.
